MAP SEAL™
All MAP Seals™ should be purged. Air that is 3 - 5 pounds of above line pressure is recommended. Air purging the seal creates a higher pressure inside the seal cavity which creates an air barrier that helps keep material inside the valve. With a MAP Seal™l and air purge, you can forget about those costly nitrogen purge systems and those messy grease purges you have to manually purge over and over again, yuck.
